Life at Providence

The Providence Experience

Our Christian, classical, and collaborative model fosters a rich school culture, and a number of activities and events enrich the Providence experience.

  • Daily Chapel

Daily Chapel is a way to focus on what matters most, first thing in the morning. Chapel usually consists of singing together, scripture recitation practice, brief devotionals and Bible readings, prayer, and announcements, including student birthdays. All students in the school meet in the Worship Center, which creates a special opportunity for younger and older students to be in community together.
  • School-Wide Events

Families look forward to a number of annual events, like Grandparents' Day, Fall Fling (where students are invited to dress up as a historical or literary figure), Spring Fest (a huge all-school field day), Lessons and Carols (a choir program before Christmas), Donuts with Dads, Muffins with Moms, and a special Commencement ceremony, where everyone is invited to honor our graduates.
  • Grade-Specific Opportunities

Lively activities are held throughout the school, like field trips, a classy formal for 9th-12th grades, LEGO contests, Heart the Cart (a goofy Upper School holiday), book parties, retreats for Rhetoric school students, project presentations, parent-led rites of passage ceremonies, and more.
