Drawing Contest ends Thursday

1st through 6th graders, bring your drawings to either chapel or the bright pink envelope by Mrs. Kemp’s office by Thursday morning. Girls draw dresses and boys draw motorboats, just like in the book.  Winners will be announced at fun lunch.

Last call! Join our 7th-9th graders for one of two showings at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the FBC Chapel on Tuesday, April 19. Tickets are $3.00. Gwen and Artie are just typical modern teenagers… Until Merlin wakes up from a 1500 year snooze to whisk them away to the days of chivalry! You’ll see brave Knights, fair maidens, Morgan La Fey, and even a dragon. Come enjoy the fun!

The Shadow of Life coming soon

Friday, April 29 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m. the 9th-12th grade spring play The Shadow of Life will be performed in the FBC Chapel. Tickets are $3.00. This play is an “in-house” adaptation of the C.S.Lewis book, The Great Divorce.

You may be in a situation where you could use assistance with homeschooling on home days. For this reason, Providence has instituted the home day “lab” program. In labs, students attend the school (8:30 – 2:55) in a small group of about 5 students of mixed grade levels. A teacher assists these students in completing their home-day assignments.

In 2016-17, for the first time, labs will be offered on Mondays in addition to Wednesday labs. This is an “either/or” arrangement, where students can enter labs for one of the two days, but not both. The cost for 2016-17 labs will be $1674 for the year.  If you are interested in Labs for the 2016-17 school year, please contact Mrs. Stafford at colleen.stafford@provprep.org  These spots can fill quickly.

PreK-1st grades make music in Chapel, May 10th

Parents are welcome to join us as our youngest students share what they have been learning in music class this semester.

It’s time to prepare for our end of year art show.  If you have some time to give, we’ll be working to prepare on these days in the next couple of weeks.

• May 3rd – displaying art

Used Uniform and Curriculum Sale

A big Rams “Thank you!” to Ellen Rutledge and Susan Hayes for volunteering to head up this year’s sale! The sale will be held on the last day of school, May 12th, in the gym.
