Singin’ In the Rain – this Friday and Saturday!

 

The 7th-12th Grade performance of the musical “Singin’ in the Rain, Jr” will be on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 at 7pm at the BISD Wall Street Auditorium on 200 N. Wall Street, Belton. The tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. You may purchase the tickets from any cast member of the show or you may purchase them from Colleen Stafford in the Providence Preparatory School office.

Used Uniform and Curriculum Sale

Our annual sale will be held on the last day of school, May 11th, in the gym from 8:15-3:30. Clean out those drawers and shelves and get ready to make some extra cash, or come ready to score some great deals. Details to come to your email inbox soon. We do need some volunteers willing to help the day before to set up, and also during the sale. Please contact Ellen Rutledge at elliemariecr@gmail.com for more information. We greatly appreciate Ellen Rutledge for volunteering to head up this year’s sale!

And speaking of the sale…

Any item remaining in the lost and found on May 11 will be up for sale! All unsold items will be donated to the Salvation Army in Temple.

3rd-6th Grade Art Show tomorrow

Join us upstairs in the landing for some art, cookies, and punch from 3:00-4:00pm.  We’ll leave pieces up through Thursday in case you need a second chance to take a look.  If you are able to help hang art or serve cookies and punch, please email jen.riddle@provprep.org.

Stay and Play this Thursday

Parents with preschoolers, we’d love for you to join us after chapel for this casual play date at the school playground.

Pioneer Farms field trip permission slips and money due tomorrow

PreK-4th grade co-teachers, if you are planning to meet us this Friday, April 28th at  Life on the Farm, a living history day in Austin (10621 Pioneer Farm Dr.),  please submit permission slips along with the money to your child’s teacher by tomorrow.  Permission Form The cost is $5 per person attending.

Plan to bring a lunch and meet at the Pioneer Farm picnic tables at 11:00 and we’ll enter the farm at 11:30.

5th/6th grade Kickball Tournament starts tomorrow!

Our first game between Elliot and Augustine is tomorrow at the PE field behind Pearl Street. If you are coming to watch, you may want to bring a chair and a water bottle.  House points will not be awarded for these fun, social events.

May 4th – Muffins with Moms and…

Here is the scoop on what and where on this big day:
8:00 am – Join us for chapel and Muffins with Moms in the gym.

8:40 – 9:20 amPreparing for Fall/Summer Prep Presentation will take place in the small chapel.

9:30 – 10:00 am, Our PreK-2nd grade music program will be in the main worship center.

Summer Writing Workshop

Mrs. Rognlie, our 6th grade language arts teacher and a published author, will be offering creative writing workshops several times this summer for students (8th grade and up, please) and adults. Rising Senior Breakfast

On the last day of school, we have a tradition of celebrating the passage into the senior year. Our seniors are student leaders, and we’re grateful for the precedent that former classes have set. The Rising Senior Breakfast recognizes our current juniors who are preparing to take their places as seniors.  This is a special occasion where the parents of current Juniors are encouraged to attend if possible. This year the breakfast will be Thursday, May 11, after chapel in rooms 257-259.
