Each year, Providence administers the ERB CTP4 standardized test in 2nd through 9th grades. This test is broken into a number of test segments that are usually about 45 minutes in length. We spread these test segments over three days so that students are taking no more than 3 exams per day.
Thursday, Nov. 2nd: Two segments for 2nd and 3rd grades; three segments for 4th-9th grades
Tuesday, Nov. 7: Two segments for 2nd and 3rd grades; three segments for 4th-9th grades
Thursday, Nov. 9: Two segments for 4th-9th grades
We’ve provided some answers to frequently asked questions about the ERB.

The weather is getting cooler, so it’s time to get a hoodie order ready. Hoodies must be pre-ordered (you can pay for them any time before they arrive in a couple weeks) by following this link to the order form. The hoodies have white “PROVIDENCE” lettering on charcoal gray or dark green fabric for youth sizes S-XL for $20, and on a great French terry hoodie in black or charcoal for adult sizes S-XXL for $25 each. These soft and comfortable shirts are NOT uniform compliant, but serve well for t-shirt days or at-home days. Order deadline is October 30.
We are looking for a few willing people to help plan this year’s family Thanksgiving Potluck. If you are interested, please contact Annette Kemp here.

ERB Test Preparation
Parents, if you have a few minutes after chapel on Thursday to help bubble in ERB scoresheets, we could use some help. We find that students are able to move more quickly through the tests if this part has already been filled out. Meet in the foyer after chapel and we will put you to work! Thank you!
Second Grade Picnic Lunch and Play Date
This Friday from noon to 1:30 p.m., join other second graders and their families at Harris Community Park for lunch and some play time. Bring sack lunches for your family and enjoy some time visiting with co-teachers and students.
